What does hanley mean?
About the company
​Han-Ley is Chinese for "sea and neighbor", meaning “friendship and connection”. This company is more than a solution to your problems, but rather a connection to building relationships with people who care about the success of your business. "If you have a good friend, distance doesn't matter", Yulin says. This is what Hanley International is all about: connecting people from opposite sides of the world so they can both be more efficient, productive, and successful.

Founded in 2019 by Dr. Yulin Ma, Hanley International is a feed-additive company that helps feed companies, premix companies, and producers access the most advanced technologies around the world, at affordable prices. We understand the difficulties producers face, so we furnish individual solutions tailored to meet your specific needs. We stand strongly behind our products because we test every batch to guarantee the highest quality standards. We have strong scientific data behind every solution we offer.
Yulin was born and raised in a small, rural village in China that had a strong agriculture background. With prior experience in raising livestock, he understood that the livestock farming business is not easy and was determined to help those farmers gain better margins to support their family. His love for animals sprung from his childhood experience of raising those backyard animals and is ultimately what led him to where he is today. Yulin states that "when the Chinese
spring festival celebration came, we had to sacrifice some of our animals for family dinner. I cried a lot because I had to say goodbye to them."

Dr. Ma attended South China Agricultural University and earned a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and a master’s in Immunology. He then went on to earn his PhD in Animal Nutrition at the University of Kentucky and an M.B.A at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Yulin’s ambition and love for animal nutrition led him to a decision to create a company that would help producers and feed companies excel in their business by providing the best solutions at a lower cost, while connecting them with people half-way across the world. This is when Hanley International was born.

President and Founder
Yulin Ma
Yulin is a scientist, and an entrepreneur. Yulin’s career started as a researcher, then transformed into technical sales where he was able to build strong relationships with customers and producers. His experience enabled Yulin to grasp a full understanding of what customers and producers truly need. Equipped with years of education, experience, and successful relationships, Yulin finally made the decision to start his own business and deliver on those customer and producer needs. Every step of Yulin’s career had been a big challenge, but every step and challenge gave him the chance to grow further.

Derrick Love, PCQI/FSVP
Derrick comes from a very diverse business background where he was able to gather experience in all aspects of business operations. He works in customer service, purchasing, accounting, inventory control, logistics and many other roles. He stated "I personally love meeting and talking with new people, so the ability to get to do this through Hanley truly makes me happy!"

Niamh O’Mahony
Niamh (‘Neev’) is from Ireland and graduated from Northeastern University of Boston in supply chain management! She brings a profound passion for supply chain optimization and ensuring the utmost operational efficiency. Her dedication to excellence is unweaving, and she firmly believes in the power of seamless operations. Niamh enthusiastically declared, ‘I am eager to make a significant contribution and become an integral part of the Hanley team!’
Account Manager
Kevin Strecker
Kevin comes from a diverse background with over 30 years of experience in the swine industry. On the production front, he spent 25 years in all aspects of swine business, from on farm production in sows, nursery, and grow-finish pigs to working with toll mills, management companies, packer relations, and feed companies. He then transferred into a sales role in 2016. This allowed Kevin to further build strong relationships with customers and producers in their own operations. Working in all aspects of the business has allowed Kevin to have a unique perspective of customer and producer needs and pain points. He stated, “The swine industry is a small industry. It is important to do what is right for the customer and treat others as you wish to be treated."
